@ricermiata I have welded a turbo to a cast iron manifold before and it was fine... until I killed the clutch. Turbo was fine.

The only difference as far as I can tell was that I used 3.2mm mild steel electrodes at 100amps without any pre-heating.

Would be interesting to see how it goes.
